Guildford Borough Community Wellbeing Team

Offers a monthly, in-person Saturday digital session for older people. This is in collaboration with the Tech Angels volunteers who offer one-to-one sessions. Sessions take place the second Saturday of each month, from 11am – 2pm. For anyone 55 years old or above. Attendees can be referred onto Tech Angels to hire a tablet and have further help in the home.

Surrey Coalition for Disabled People – Tech Angels

Tech Angels is a free service run by the charity Surrey Coalition. We can support people by providing a smart device or prepaid SIM card on long-term-loan. We also provide digital lessons in someone’s home with one of our volunteer ‘Tech Angels’. These lessons will cover whatever it is that the individual feels they need to know, e.g. using the NHS App, emailing, WhatsApp and video-calling, learning how to fill in online forms, browse the internet and do online shopping and banking. The only cost associated with Tech Angels is if a Tech Member wants to keep their loaned device after the loan period.
