Adult Learning at Surrey Adult Learning
Surrey Adult Learning (SAL) can help you get ready for work and find a better job. Join our Career Essentials courses to build confidence, write your CV, and practise interview skills. You can improve your maths, English and ESOL so you have the skills employers look for. We also offer business courses to help you gain practical skills for office, customer service and self-employment roles. Take your next step into work or further training, with clear routes into teaching, health and social care and other local jobs.
Lloyds Bank Digital Helpline
In partnership with the Digital Helpline, Lloyds Bank are offering free 1-2-1 training sessions. These sessions are tailor-made to your needs. You can learn to: Set up a device and connect to the internet, Create an email account and send emails, Sign up for Internet Banking and bank online, Book a doctors appointment, Shop online for groceries, Stay in touch with family and friends through video calls.
WorkWell
WorkWell is a joint initiative from the Department of Work and Pensions and the Department of Health and Social Care with the vision of a healthier and more productive nation. Surrey County Council are delivering WorkWell in Surrey in partnership with local providers of health, wellbeing, employment and skills support.
The aim of WorkWell is to provide a free, one-to-one work and health support service, helping people with health issues and/or disabilities to get back to work or remain in work by connecting them to local support providers.
People who are absent from work due to reasons such as mental health, Musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions and respiratory reasons often struggle to return to work after a period of sickness absence.
One-to-one support from a WorkWell coach increases the likelihood of you returning to work sooner, or preventing you from going on sickness leave.
Skills Bootcamps
Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for Surrey residents. They enable you to gain new skills and fast-track your future.
With a guaranteed interview with a local employer on course completion, you could be giving your career a real boost!

Age UK Surrey (Milford)
Age UK’s Milford drop-in centres offer face to face tech support and digital skills training to Surrey residents. As well as digital skills help, the team can offer advice around staying safe online, device security and much more. Examples of help available include: Finding information on the internet, shopping online securely, sending and receiving emails, editing and manipulating photos, researching family history, and talking to your friend abroad via WhatsApp or Skype. Sessions run on Mondays from 10am-12pm.
