Senior Property Services Operative / Technician Location: Surrey / South London (Field-based) Company vehicle provided Overview We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Senior Property Services Operative / Technician to carry out high-quality repairs and maintenance across residential properties. This is a hands-on role where you will also act as a technical support point for colleagues, helping to improve team performance, resolve complex repairs, and enhance the overall customer experience. Key Responsibilities Repairs & Maintenance Carry out high-quality repairs and improvement works in occupied and void properties Diagnose faults accurately and complete work efficiently to minimise repeat visits Deliver cost-effective solutions while maintaining excellent workmanship Customer Experience Provide a professional, customer-first service at all times Clearly explain repairs, diagnoses and next steps to residents Handle complex or urgent repair issues with confidence Technical Support & Team Contribution Support and mentor colleagues with technical queries Share knowledge and help improve team capability Assist with quality checks and continuous improvement initiatives Operations & Compliance Follow health & safety regulations and safe working practices Use handheld systems to log jobs, materials, and progress Maintain van stock, tools, and equipment Work collaboratively with internal teams and contractors Additional Duties Participate in out-of-hours emergency rota Carry out inspections and quality control checks Identify and escalate safeguarding or property concerns Requirements Proven experience in a relevant trade within a customer-focused environment Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ/C&G in Carpentry, Plumbing, or Electrical) Multi-skilled in general maintenance (e.g. plastering, painting) Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly Good understanding of health & safety regulations Full, clean driving licence What’s on Offer Company vehicle Stable, long-term opportunity Varied and meaningful work supporting local communities Opportunity to mentor others and develop your skills
