We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher with experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH and PDA profiles. The successful candidate will join a highly supportive, multi-disciplinary team and play a key role in delivering engaging, personalised learning experiences that enable every child to thrive. Many pupils are working below age-related expectations, therefore experience teaching KS1 and lower KS2, alongside a strong understanding of differentiated and therapeutic approaches to learning, would be highly advantageous. The Role As a Primary Teacher, you will: Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Plan and adapt the curriculum to meet pupils’ educational, social and emotional development. Create a structured, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. Set, monitor and review personalised learning targets. Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations. Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, families and external professionals. Contribute to EHCP reviews, PEP meetings and wider multi-agency planning. Utilise positive behaviour support strategies and trauma-informed approaches. Support pupils with a range of communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a teacher who has: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential. Experience teaching within a primary setting. Strong knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) profiles. Experience supporting pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs. A creative, adaptable and child-centred approach to teaching. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Experience implementing effective behaviour support strategies, including supporting behaviours that may challenge. Why Apply?
