Description Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines Preparing and processing tax returns and P11Ds from information provided Calculation and advice of liabilities, together with due dates of payment to client Assisting with client queries and providing ad hoc advice where requested Billing personal portfolio clients after work completed Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls and arranging and attending meetings with clients and potential clients Assisting partners and staff members with technical queries Providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate Assisting in the preparation of technical reports in relation to income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls and enquiries General support to the tax team as required Profile A successful Private Client Tax Senior should have: A strong foundation in private client tax, with relevant professional qualifications (ATT etc.) Experience working within an accountancy practice setting. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. The ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly and effectively to clients. Experience of preparing accounts is desirable.
