HGV Driver Wanted in Chertsey (KT16) The Best Connection are hiring for a HGV Driver for a Small Family Run Business based in KT16 who is looking for a reliable & flexible HGV Driver to join their team! Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour Guaranteed Minimum: 8 hours paid per shift Location: Chertsey, KT16 Schedule: Monday to Friday, plus 1 Saturday per month This role offers a mixture of HGV Class 1 (CE) and HGV Class 2 (Category C) route allocations, providing varied and consistent work throughout the week. Start Times 05:30, 10:30 & 14:00 – each week. Minimum 8hrs paid per shift. Duties Include: Trunking operations to airport locations Scheduled truck runs to Gloucester and Wallingford Safe and efficient delivery of goods Completion of all relevant paperwork and transport documentation Conducting daily vehicle walkaround checks and defect reporting Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and road safety Adhering to company policies and customer site procedures Requirements: Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) and/or Class 2 (Category C) licence Valid CPC Card & Digi Card, Minimum 5-year employment history (required for vetting purposes) Good understanding of UK driving regulations and compliance requirements Professional and customer-focused attitude Ability to work flexible start times as required Additional Information DBS check required CO Training will be provided by TBC Ongoing work available for the right candidates Competitive hourly rate with guaranteed minimum shift payment If you are a dependable HGV driver looking for regular work, competitive pay, and a varied workload, we would like to hear from you.
