HGV Class 2 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Guildford. Shifts Monday to Friday – 06:00am to 08:00am starts Rates of Pay Basic: £18.46 per hour Overtime (after 40 hours): £24.55 per hour Benefits Excellent hourly rates Weekly pay Immediate starts available Employee Well-being Programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): Completing RDC or brewery deliveries (curtain-side, no handball) Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks Ensuring all loads are safely secured before transit Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C Licence A minimum of 12 months’ experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor offences (No major endorsement codes) A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card Good level of written and spoken English Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills Strong understanding of road traffic laws and regulations Effective communication and customer service skills Desirable Experience Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries Experience driving a range of commercial vehicles Training Provided Industry-related training and ongoing support will be provided throughout your assignment.
