Credit Controller Job Type: Temporary, full time, until the end of Dec 2025- potential to extend. Location: Kingswood (100% office based) Hourly rate: £14.29- £15.38 per hour PAYE OR £18.09- £19.50 per hour via an umbrella company. Hours: 35 hours per week (08.00- 16.00 OR 09.00- 17.00) We are seeking a Credit Controller for our Major Business Credit Department. This role involves the collection and management of debt on the Major Account ledger, which includes commercial and public sector client, with a turnover of £1.7bn per year. The successful candidate will report to the Credit Team Manager and will be responsible for a defined portfolio of accounts, requiring strong relationship management skills both externally and internally. Day-to-day of the role: Administer collection procedures in accordance with company and departmental policies. Review and prioritise ledger debt daily using a methodical approach. Complete departmental processes and controls timely, including workflow, cash flow, month-end analysis, and handling of no remits. Manage the collection of Manual Direct Debits and address any rejections immediately. Continuously build and develop relationships with customers. Identify accounts requiring escalation and propose actions to the Team Leader. Liaise with other departments to resolve issues promptly and correctly, aiding customer payments. Required Skills & Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of credit control procedures with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Strong organisational skills with a methodical and logical approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and courteous under all circumstances. Ability to forge strong working relationships and work effectively within a team.
