Accounts Assistant

Orka Financial are working with a leading engineering services provider who are seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide crucial support to our Finance Manager who are based in Staines. This role offers a varied and challenging opportunity with exposure to all aspects of the business. Key responsibilities: Prepare and process sales invoices and statements. Conduct credit control and reconciliation of sales ledger to nominal. Process supplier invoices, company credit cards, and personal expenses. Prepare and process Bacs payment runs and reconcile supplier statements. Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash. Maintain Excel cash book. Enter weekly timesheets and run all weekly payroll reports. Manage weekly employee payments and CIS. Conduct monthly financial reporting including Balance Sheet, P&L, and Trial Balance. Run weekly job costing reports. Manage and check monthly and quarterly VAT returns. Key Skills: Proven experience in a similar Finance Assistant role or a degree within Accounting and Finance. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. Strong business acumen and practical common sense. Preferred experience with Sage. Salary: £25,000-£32,000 DOE Further benefits
