Management Accountant

Accountant (Permanent) Location: Godstone, Surrey (own transport required due to remote location) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am–5:00pm, 30-minute lunch) – 100% office-based initially Contract: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience) Systems: Sage 50 Accounts Professional v32, Syrinx v4, Microsoft Excel, Sage 50 Payroll The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced and growing SME within the equipment hire sector, with a turnover of circa £10m. Following a recent restructure, the business is seeking an ambitious and hands-on Accountant to support the next phase of growth. This is a permanent position offering genuine scope to develop within a dynamic and evolving environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy across accounts Maintain and update the fixed asset register Assist with the preparation of management and statutory accounts Support payroll processes using Sage 50 Payroll Provide ad hoc financial support across the business Offer occasional support with incoming calls during busy periods About You Finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Strong reconciliation experience with the ability to work independently Proactive, adaptable, and willing to take a hands-on approach Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Comfortable operating in a fast-paced SME environment Proficient in Sage 50, Syrinx, and Microsoft Excel What’s on Offer Opportunity to join a growing business at a pivotal stage of development Broad, varied role with exposure across the finance function Stability of a permanent position with long-term progression potential To apply , please submit your CV along with a brief cover note outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role.
