Works For Me is our free service dedicated to supporting blind and partially sighted individuals in their pursuit of paid employment or a change of career. Our personalised approach caters to your unique needs and our team of employment experts is here to offer one-to-one support.
Each year we help between 600 and 800 people return to learn to gain new skills, qualifications and employment. We rely on a mix of income streams, including generating funds through our Bike Project social enterprise and securing grant funding for projects.
The Forces Employment Charity provides life-long, life-changing support, jobs and training opportunities to Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their spouses, partners and children, regardless of circumstances, rank, length of service, or reason for leaving.
From individuals using our free profiling tool to our affordable commercial products designed to support a wide range of employers, community groups, education, regional councils/LEPs and employability and careers initiatives. We have a whole range of services that will support everyone’s needs.
The Job Club was established about 4 years ago and aims to support any unemployed adult person with the right to work in the UK who seeks help in securing a job. Support is given by one of our several trained volunteers through, typically, one to one digital meetings. Support given can range from establising career goals to highlighting the best ways to find a job (company websites, networking , recruiters etc) to application completion to interview practice to choosing the right job.
Our Worker Scheme provides local unemployed people with skills and experience to help them gain future employment. Those on the scheme are guaranteed at least 25 hours’ work for 26 weeks, are paid the Real Living Wage and are expected to do real work providing services for residents of Reigate and Banstead.
