Do you enjoy bringing structure and support to a busy finance team? We’re hiring a Senior Accounts Payable Assistant for a well-established media group. It’s a hands-on role with a blend of ownership and team support—ideal if you enjoy working at pace and want a bit more responsibility without stepping fully into management. You’ll be a key part of the AP team, keeping things running smoothly day to day while helping to improve processes and mentor junior staff. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and taking pride in accurate work. WISH LIST Strong Accounts Payable experience in a larger business Comfortable supporting and guiding junior team members Organised, reliable, and confident juggling multiple priorities THE ROLE Process supplier invoices and credits accurately and on time Prepare payment runs in line with company policy Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers Flag process gaps or training needs to the AP Manager Apply VAT and CIS rules correctly when processing invoices Allocate incoming invoices and tickets to the right team members Support junior team members and monitor invoice turnaround Own the month-end AP reconciliations Help onboard new suppliers and oversee proforma payments Use D365 and invoice scanning tools (training provided) Provide ad hoc reporting and support as needed YOUR PROFILE Ideally studying towards AAT Experienced in Accounts Payable in a large organisation Some exposure to team supervision or mentoring Working knowledge of VAT & CIS regulations Effective communicator – written & verbal Good working knowledge of MS Excel SALARY & BENEFITS £28,000 – £32,000 Hybrid: 3 days in Woking office, 2 from home Permanent role Media industry Additional benefits package
