Purchasing Specialist / Demand Planner – FMCG- TW18 – £38k-43k bonuses benefits – Monday – Friday with the flexibility to work from home 3 days. Responsibilities of the Purchasing Specialist/Demand Planner : Placing of purchase orders within agreed timescales Accountable for forecasting of base, promotional and product launch volumes Analysis of data to allow decision making Critical peak period planning Vehicle and container fill optimisation Maintain acceptable levels of availability Shelf life and end of life management to meet agreed KPIs Key coordination with sales team and logistics partners Resolve production and delivery issues Maintaining Vendor relationships Daily purchasing administration Successful execution of product launches on branded and private label goods KPI reporting Contribute to the ongoing development of business processes Skills & Experience required: Purchasing Specialist/Demand Planner Previous experience of purchasing, forecasting or demand planning is essential. Intermediate Excel skills essential Knowledge of container shipping an advantage Working within FMCG advantageous Extremely organised Problem Solving Ability to work to tight deadlines Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels To be process driven with great attention to detail and understanding of the importance of compliance 2nd language preferred.
