Management Accountant

Management Accountant Annual Salary: £40-45k depending on experience Location: Feltham, TW13 Job Type: Full-time ( 4 days office based with 1 day from home but initially could be 5 days a week until trained up) A returning client of ours in the manufacturing sector is seeking a dynamic and proactive Management Accountant (Active studier and Part qualified level) to provide crucial financial insight that support strategic and operational decision-making. This role is pivotal in driving profitable growth and offers a fantastic opportunity for career development within a collaborative environment. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare monthly Management Accounts with a focus on the manufacturing process, including inventory and costing analysis. Conduct analytical reviews of nominal ledger accounts for assigned companies on a monthly, half-yearly, and yearly basis. Manage month-end close procedures for assigned companies. Take ownership of annual budget preparations and finance templates. Prepare audit files and liaise with external auditors. Review product profitability and highlight internal control weaknesses. Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns and manage cashbooks. Support stocktaking activities, including coordination with external auditors, reviewing anomalies, and finalising postings. Authorise weekly payment runs and monthly payroll. Cover Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed. Required Skills & Qualifications: Part Qualified, studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). AAT (level 3 or 4) or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting & Finance, Accounting & Business, Mathematics). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounts department (desirable). Strong understanding of management accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet, and double entry. Proactive problem solver with high attention to detail and the ability to communicate and implement controls to mitigate risks. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
