The Opportunity As the Health & Safety Manager, you’ll be the strategic and operational engine behind safety excellence for our exciting client. You’ll lead risk assessments, audits, behavioural safety initiatives, and continuous improvement across all areas of the operation. You’ll inspire teams to think and act safely, support senior leadership on safety matters, and ensure the organisation consistently meets and exceeds legal and industry standards. What You’ll Be Doing Leading audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring all activities meet statutory and internal safety requirements. Driving safety culture change, coaching teams, and embedding safe behaviours across the workforce. Managing corrective actions from audits, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Overseeing document control for safety legislation, standards, and internal safety documentation. Ensuring competence is maintained for safety-critical roles through training, assessment, and compliance monitoring. Supporting investigations and liaising with external bodies where required. Producing safety performance reports, analysing trends, and recommending improvements. Contributing to the annual Safety Plan and monitoring performance against objectives. �? About You You’ll shine in this role if you bring: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (CMIOSH desirable). Minimum 4 years’ experience within safety management (ideally in a transport, engineering, manufacturing, or safety-critical sector). Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to influence at all levels. Energy, confidence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
