Dalton Recruitment is looking to recruit an ambitious and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst to join the Procurement function for this leading UK & European Transport & Logistics firm. The Procurement Analyst will support the procurement function by providing data-driven insights, managing procurement systems, and ensuring administrative compliance across a range of procurement activities. The function is a brownfield development and the Analyst will play a pivotal role in its ongoing transformation. It will require very strong skills around the analysis, manipulation, cleansing and presentation/visualisation of large, complex data sets which will contribute to strategic decision-making through spend analysis, supplier performance tracking, and process improvement, while also maintaining compliance and supporting day-to-day procurement operations. The role is considered a developmental role for an aspiring data analyst and would suit someone with a natural interest in procurement as it will provide significant exposure to procurement processes and systems, while giving exciting opportunities for learning, development and career progression. The role is based at the client’s offices in Woking 4 days/week with one day working from home. Responsibilities to include: Spend Analysis & Reporting – Collect, analyse, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and compliance gaps. Prepare regular reports for category managers and leadership. Procurement Cycle-Time Performance Monitoring – Collect, analyse, and interpret procurement process cycle-time data to allow performance monitoring of Procurement processes. Prepare regular reports for category managers and leadership. Procurement Savings Reporting – Working with the category management team, track procurement savings according to agreed definitions, and report progress of these savings versus agree savings targets. Procurement Administration – Maintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and approval workflows. Ensure documentation is complete and compliant with internal policies. System & Process Support – Administer procurement systems (Arcus, MPS, Coda, and others), support user training, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation. Supplier Performance Monitoring – Track and report on supplier KPIs, delivery performance, and service levels. Support supplier reviews and escalation processes. Compliance & Risk Management – Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, reporting on performance in these areas. Assist in servicing audit information requests and follow up remedial activity. Sourcing Support – Assist category managers with PO creation, RFP/RFI preparation, bid evaluation, and documentation. Coordinate timelines and stakeholder inputs where necessary. Invoice & PO Reconciliation – Support resolution of invoice discrepancies, PO matching, and payment queries in collaboration with finance and suppliers. Continuous Improvement – Identify and support the implementation of process enhancements to improve procurement efficiency, data accuracy, and stakeholder experience. Key Skills to be Considered: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools Strong data manipulation, cleansing and presentation skills Ideally experience in procurement, supply chain, or finance-related roles, ideally within a centralized or shared services environment Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba) and data management practices Understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, contracting, and purchase-to-pay Experience in administrative tasks such as record-keeping, PO processing, and invoice reconciliation Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities Dalton Recruitment Ltd is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
